I went down on my pilots to a 25's when I blip the throttle now there is now stumble and it does not stall now. When I had 27.5's I would blip it 3 times and it would stumble a bit then stall. I readjusted my air/fuel from 3 1/8 L & 3 3/8 R to 2 3/4 L & 3 R. I will be able to open it up and test that setting this weekend.

I don't know if this is good or bad, but GregV spends more time tuning his bike than riding it. One might argue that he is probably really good at tuning it by now and his advice should be trusted. One might also argue that "those who can't do, teach". Have fun experimenting guys.

My good buddy Stecate925..

There is a diferent type of satisfaction that you get from making your own modifications, yes I enjoy wrenchin'...........and yes I enjoy riding too.

Just hurry and get those pipes for your V-Force. ha ha

Yeh. They are talking exhaust prices in the other room. Not too cheap. Oh well, double the price, double the performance.

Do any of you guys tune your machines on a dyno? I used a chassis dyno to dial in my car and the same place has a smaller dyno for ATVs. I'm thinking that would be the way to go simply because you can better monitor the A/F mizture while you run it under full power.

I have two 2003 Raptors and ride them at Sea Level in Mexico.

I have them both zeroed in perfectly.

They are:

White Brothers T4 Slip-on Silencer

Completely stock Airbox

150 / 155 Mains (Mikuni brand jets, not Dyna-Jet)

25 Pilots

2 ½ and 3 Turns Out on Air Screws

I experience absolutely no problems with acceleration, idle, de-acceleration, etc.

Well this weekend I was able to test my bike with the new settings thanks to the help from sixsixT. My Raptor is completely dialed in now.
This is my setup:

Big Gun Slip On
Pro Design Kit Foam Filter-No Lid
160/165 Mikuni Mains- 25 Mikuni Pilots
Air/Fuel-2 3/4 Out L -3 Out R
Stock needles/Stock Clip Position(3rd Slot)

I friggin love my Raptor even more now it almost makes me wanna cry
Again thumbs up to sixsixT for helping me tune my carbs. CHEERS !!!
