Default new motor

since the raptor motor is shot i am considering dropping in a motor other than the 660. whatever happened to lock it up....happened in the bottom. it is 2002 so i dont think it is the tranny. i am looking at like an R6 motor or something like that. what would be a good motor to drop in?

Ouch, sounds like you are talking about the counter balancer.

there is some pretty good instructions and pictures on my site for tearing it down if you need.

I know you were making a crack on Raptors but, that would be a worthwhile adventure I think. Although the sprocket is on the wrong side.

Turn the hub over. I've seen Rotax engines on E-bay.

Doh! I've never had my axle apart. So I'm stupid in that area. The Bomb motors come with more power, put in a lighter frame and you've got a pretty strong motor. They're more costly to mod but make good power when you do. They've prooven to be way more reliable than Raptor motors for sure.

Those rotax engines are bad ***!! They are in ATK motorcycles from Utah and they rock. I believe they are snowmoblile engines originally but, they are backwards (left leg kick)
