raptor or banshee?
#22
I considered getting a banshee myself. Here's why I didn't...
-The looks of the banshee is crap compared to a raptor
-2 strokes are being banned in '06
-4 strokes require less maint. (2 stroke - king of destroying spark plugs)
-If you put a good silencer on a 4 stroke, it sounds wicked whereas the 2 strokes, eh their ok
-I trail ride
-Banshees require a bit more money to modify
Just my opinion. Either quad though, you will have no regret I'm sure. I wish I had the cash to buy both

My raptor is stock. My brother also has a raptor that isn't bored or anything but is piped and it can kick some shee butt, but then you get those banshees that have like 4 thousand dollars or more in them and they fly. i guess if you got the money and are willing to spend alot banshee is the way to go.

I always am in favor of the 2-stroke machine, However these have unusual circumstances. I had a banshee and I really loved it. It had some modest work done to it so it was pretty fast, atleast alot faster than stock. The only 4 -stroke I would evn consider is the raptor . Im not impreesed with the amount of money it takes to upgrade a 4-stroke though, just to get little hp gains. I blew the motor in my banshhe and it cost like 450 to fix, having to buy 2 of evrything when you want to fix or upgrade really sucks. Banshees arent really known for their handling. A raptors suspension and handling are very good. The banshess power band can be both good and bad, remember its not recommended for beginners. If you plan to go mostly to the dunes get a banshee, itll be the most thrilling. Consider a 250r though, mine is faster than the average persons banshee, and both the raptors ive seen.

Banshees are easy to mod, they sound wicked (nothing beats the sound of a piped shee), they have great throttle response and they have a kick-*** powerband. You can make alot of power with just bolt-on mods
They are not exactly the perfect trail quad though. But for fire roads, hillclimbs, fields and dunes the Banshee is the quad to get.
Just my $.02 .
