Where is the TORS unit located on an 01 Blaster? I was told on the front of the quad, but where? I was told that this unit pulls spark from every 5th strock after 6500rpm, is this true? If so it seems to reason that if you removed it or disconected it the bike would run stronger in the top end. Thanks!

 

put a good pipe on it and you can rev higher. if you take the tors off then you have to put idler screws in the carb. if you don't mind doing that then go ahead.

 

The TORS is the funky shaped thing on top of the carb itself. After you take the tors off, I think(but not sure) that you have to get a new cap and slightly shorter throttle cable, but again, i'm not sure. Someone else could probably tell you exactly.

yes you need a new cap and cable. and like i said earlier you need to put in idler screw cause it's on the tors.
