Default Question for sixsixt (jetting and floats)

I read some were that the factory reccemends even with the mating surface but I've been adjusting mine about an 1/8" above that for the same reason you mentioned and it's worked out great.

Default Question for sixsixt (jetting and floats)

RaptorRider660,
I would try doing it like Sixsixt says (1/8" above mating surface). and go from there.

Default Question for sixsixt (jetting and floats)

Well I finally got around to adjusting the floats and that was my problem for sure! They were pretty far off actually, I adjusted them to as close to 1/8" as I could get and took it for a test spin. It solved the wheelie problem and the low end hessitation issue. The plug was black after a plug check before, now it is a nice tan/brown color. I didn't touch the screws at all, so they are still at 2 1/4 and 2 3/4. Thanks again for your help guys!

Default Question for sixsixt (jetting and floats)

My brand new, one-day old Raptor is pouring fuel from right carb overflow. Must be a stuck float. I'm gonna pull the carbs and adjust the floats. Above, it says, " I didn't touch the screws at all, so they are still at 2 1/4 and 2 3/4." Which screws are you referring to? One is 2 1/4 and the other is 2 3/4. Is there any way to describe which screw is which? Thanks!!!!!

that would be the mixture screws on the bottom of the carbs. If you just remove the bowls, you will not have to touch them, just adjust your floats and you should be good to go.
