Not me doing the jumping, that's a pro.

RPM, talking trash with some of the kids on here keeps it from getting boring, plus I like for everyone to see what the V-force is capable of.

The Kawi's only been out a month, wait and see how a Raptor stacks up to one that has an 800 kit, dual exhausts, 2 big cams, 2 high comp. pistons, a couple of bigger carbs, a tuned clutch setup, etc., etc.

Ridley, feel free to come to WV and ask me about my education. This'll help you recognize me.

hey kevin dont worry about it, everytime a new high performance quad comes out all the raptor fans get worried cuz maybe there a quad that will do better the the raptor at certain objectives. now even though the z has tghe better handling the raptor still is king of power. since the 700 came out though, the raptor fans make up the excuse saying its a utility quad and not a high performance quad because it actually has more power than the 660 so dont listen to them there just upset the raptor isnt the king anymore

Well your question really started a big flame war, i will give you my opinion on the two quads in question.

Drag: On a straight line drag race the KFX would get the holeshot and take an early lead. After about 50 or 55mph range the Raptor would slowly reel in the KFX and overtake in on the top end. This is what I have seen and what will happen when two good riders race. Now the rider on the Raptor could easily blow the race, the KFX rider could also but not as easy as the rider on the Raptor because there is no gear changing involved.

Engine power: The engine power on both quads is very impressive and both are very strong. Ill start with the KFX. The power of the KFX can be explained as a explosion of sorts and can really get away with you if you are not careful. It has a lower power as well for just cruising around if you dont want to go all out. It has plenty of power to go over whatever you want without problems. The CVT doesnt have any lag at all and will really hook up when you punch the throttle. THe KFX can easily wheelie up on obstacles whith a tap of the throttle. It can climb the largest of hills and i havent met a hill yet that i have had to hit full throttle. The acceleration is outragous, though flattens out on the top end.

The raptor also has a very hard hitting engine and more torque than most quads, but the torque between the two is very close. It has a very good throttle responese and will hit a jump in any gear you want do to the torque. Hit the throttle and the front end comes up and the Raptors lauchs like a weasel with its tail on fire. One thing the raptor lacks though is the acceleration that the KFX has that is the only difference.

Handling: The KFX and Raptor are real close in comparison until now, in the handling department. THe Raptor has ok handling not bad in fact its real good, just not the best. With only it being about 43 inches wide it feels tipping when you go hard into corners, witch in turn causes the rider to slow down. On the other hand the KFX with it a massive 49 inches or so wide can stay in a turn at a very high speed and keep it up until you exit it. THis here will give the KFX a large edge on MX and GNCC events. Now on the down side the KFX only has 8 inches of rear travel wich will make it bottom out faster. I dont think this will be as bad though because i have done many large jumps and havent bottomed mine out yet.

Suspenion: This kinda goes hand in hand with handling, the quad with the best handing usually has the best suspension and this still proves true here. I will say here that the hands down winner is the KFX. U literally dont feel and bump over hard terrain and can hit the largest of jumps with ease. If you do not believe me there is a thread that has pictures of a KFX getting huge air. The Raptor is ok with suspension, but the fact is that the KFX beats it with it boingers.

Well i just wanted to say that, i hope ou take the time to read it cause my hands are tired.
