Default Warrior Or Wolverine, Quick Response, pleeeease

K My type of riding, small track, soft sand, mudding, dirt roads, small to medium jumps, Fast trail rides, night riding, water, some rocks, I like to haul *** and take care of bussiness, my budget is roughly less than 5500 and I'm looking to buy brand new. Has to have a manual gearbox, i dont want an automatic, and I want to jump a little bit, should I get the niceness of the 4x4 wolverine, or just go ahead and get the warrior ? Thanks

The wolverine is a 4wd Warrior. Both have equal engine and exhaust mods and handel about the same. Also you could get a 424 or the wolvy to put it in 2wd when ever you wanted. It does not do as well on jumps as the warrior, but is still jumpable. The warrior will do killer in mud with a nice pair or mud tries on the rear. The warrior has a little better jump off the start becasue it has a clutch and will go somewhat faster. Although the wolverine has an auto clutch and a first gear that could almost pull down a house (not really, BUT). Depending on your age will depend on what you want. A younger guy will want the warrior to put forth a challenge when goin over rocks and such, but and older guy would want the wolvy because of it sport feel with utility capabilities. The quads are about even in normal stuff and will preform about the same. But the wolverine will come out top in the supper deep stuff and tall rocks, with ease. With either quad i would suggest investing in 2 Trail tech Torch lights as they provide A LOT of light. Accually they are brighter than my jeep lights. Both ATV's are nearly Bullet proof and will provide you with much fun and lead you on many journies.

I'm 20 years old, 6'2" 190 Pounds, the mudding i'll be doing is not underwater or anything, just the really nasty stuff about a foot deep, i've ridden the warrior a few times before, but never gotten to ride a wolverine, i'd love to ride the wolverine before I buy it, i'm just scared i'm gonna buy it and be dissappointed.... More or less, I'll be heavy mudding, and moderate jumping.... But for the most part, i want to blaze trails, we've got a few around here, each a couple miles long, filled with ruts, rocks, water, dry sand, mud, birms, small hills to jump, you name it.... I want something very capabale and able to keep up with other machines, not overly worried about top speed, just want a capabale, semi-comfortable, DEPENDABLE ! machine....

The Wolverine is a semi-auto and the Warrior is a manual. -Same motors- (Wo) shaft , (Wa) chain- (Wo)Fulltime 4, (Wa) 2 wheel drive - (Wo) $5800., (Wa)$5000. You want: manual, a little jumping, and $5500.
You want a Warrior.

The wolverine at my local yam. dealer 2003 Wolverine 4,500 bucks, he quoted me 5,150 out the door, and the warrior was like 100 cheaper.

In all reality I'd use the money for a Z400 or kawi version of the same. If you're on a budget save more. Both the Warrior and Wolverine though good machines are outdated.

If you do get the warrior put ITP Blackwaters on the rear tires, I had them on my 92' and unless I grounded out I never got stuck, you would never believe the stuff I went through, it also pulled me out of an ice over lake where the front end broke through! I had mud as high as it can go without getting in the air filter, those tires are awesome, I think that you'll like the warrior more but like 45 said you can probably get a better quad for around your price range, i got my raptor for 4500........

The wolverine is a great machine. I guess it comes down to 2wd or 4wd, since they are about the same machine. The wolv is great for trail riding, and I've got some pretty good air with mine and it handles great. I have a warn 424 on the way so soon enough I'll be able to chage it from a Wolverine to a Warrior and then back when I need 4wd all with the touch of a button.
