Default can you take the airbox out altogether?

Im in the process of putting in my pro flow with k&n and was wondering if you can do away with the airbox altogether? I seem to remember seing a picture from a memeber in this forum that had his setup like this. Or is it better to just run it without the lid?TIA

It might be me you're talking about. Click on the camera to see what I did. If you ride real wet and muddy trails I would just run without the lid.

No, dont think it was you six, but you have a similar set-up. I have'nt really rode in any wet or muddy trails yet but am sure I will in the future. I think I'll just go ahead and run mine with the lid off and see how that does.
