Default Which pipe for the Raptor

What do you think of FMF IV Q? Is it a complete system or is it a slip on? I am new to the raptor so havent had much experience in pipes for these i had the FMF Powercore IV not the Q though on my Warrior, loved the sound but cant say i noticed to much in performance but I do know that the pipes sure make the Raptors come alive. Another thing have you any experience or know anything about that DMC Alien. Im thinking Yosh, Alba, Trinity, FMF or DMC, possibly a Big Gun. I do not like the CT though. Any Info would be greatly appreciated.

Top Choices:

1) Yosh

2)DMC- want to know more about it.....hp gains and sound

Dont know any Raptor FMF owners that are happy with it once they ride with other piped raptors. All of the aftermarket pipes are pretty loud I have the Sparks pipe and am very happy with everything but the initial cost of it. If noise is a concern I believe LRD makes a quiet pipe for the Raptor. I had a Big Gun slip on which was horribly loud with the race core and with the quiet core it was weaker than the stock pipe. Cant speak for any other pipes as these are the only 2 I've run.

Go for the GYT-R exhaust systems it sounds great and you will be happy with it if you like power and a loud exhaust

Airraptor,
How do you like the 727? And anyone else with it. I'm thinking of it, the company is out where I live. Are there any problems you can have with this mod, are you satisfied, etc.

Just slapped on the white bros along with a new jet kit and the clamp on K&N and it has brought the rappy alive!! The pipe is loud though, I personally love it but that is one thing to consider

The thing with the CT is the price and I dont like the sound of the CT. I guess you could say Im looking for the best bang for the buck $$$$. I do not need to be the absolute fastest out there because is ALWAYS someone that is bigger and badder then you. Now with the GTYR whats the gains in performance?? I have seen some dyno numbers for most of the rest of the pipes. Another thing what is whats the best all around pipe??

Nothin wrong with a FMF pipe. I have the powercore IV with stock header and the fmf header is in the mail. I love my fmf pipe on the rappy. I have the k&n air filter with k&n jets and it runs and sounds awesome. I would recommend either the fmf or the full yosh.

I went with the Biggun exhaust and I am pretty happy with the overall performance , my only complaint is that the ceramic coating likes to show rust spots, which easily cleans off with steel wool when I wash my quad. I think next pipe I may go with stainless or aluminum just for that reason. I also found by putting the spark arrester in backwards ( sticking out as opposed to in , the recommended way ) it takes away less power and still quiets my machine down quite a bit. Found that one out by mistake.
