Default I keep breaking bolts!!!

Look on my picture page and see if there is something wrong with my torque wrench. I mean, my god. A hardened bolt should be able to handle 550 ft lbs right [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] ?

Ahhh that's a baby torque wrench. I've used some that you'd have to lay sideways (corner to corner) in a fullsize truck bed. Until you twist a 1/2" grade 8 bolt in two at the same time as mushrooming a impact socket out your not torquing anything.

i guess what theyre trying to say is that the bolts should be able to handle 550 ftlbs,

True, but I found this one while digging in our old tool boxes looking for some jets for the truck it is sitting in. We have other tools on our land sometimes too, that friggen crane was blocking my track for the longest time and it dug some whoops when they left with it.
