Went to Dumont today :)
Had to go to some familiar ground to stretch the legs of my newly rebuilt quad. Ran like a champ. Of course I had to drag race up the hill. I'm happy to say that my Raptor was the fastest Raptor on the hill. Never mind that there was only pipe Raptors (I'm guessing thats all they were). Held my own against most of the Banshees out there. Ran into Mario (anihalater) and Tony (punisher) on their 720 Bombs. Don't have what it takes to beat those guys. Lost to Tony by about 2 quads or so and Mario by 4-5 lengths. But I was able to save face. Its called a 12 year old son. He was able to run even and if the hill was longer he would have pulled a little on Mario, he had to come from behind to get even at the top. Tony was not a problem for Justin (my son). I can only imagine how the Raptors run that have larger valves, stage 2 cams and FCR's and a 200lb or less rider.

That sound good to me. You know if you ever want to go faster all you got to do is a 12-1 stage 2 and springs. Have fun, enjoy and rembers that you have plenty of room for improvement if you ever chose.
To me you built a very fun and rideable quad with zero headaches. Glad you are back up and running.
Also looks like you could go back to a 40 thooth rear gear and pick up a lenght or 2

Less than what I was dreaming for, as much as I would allow myself to expect. I didn't want to think it was gonna be lightning fast and then be dissapointed. Its faster than the 11:1 stock bore and stage 1 cam was, how much is hard to tell. I went up 1 tooth on the front sprocket from what I used to run and I still pull the hill well in 3rd gear, couldn't do that before with a 13 tooth. The bikes I usualy run against have all upgraded since. I used to beat Tony on his stock bore 12:1 or whatever it was he had before he went to 720, now he beats me. Larrys DS is getting a make over right now and I expect it to be faster than me as well. I'm still running a bit rich so some fine tuning needs to be done still. Gonna see can I talk the old lady into letting me buy some extreme 9 paddle tires and see what I pick up with those. I'll have a video up tomorrow of me racing a piped, jetted, ported, timing advanced, domed, carb mount filters and some other things I can't remember right now, Banshee that was there today.

I definatly could go to a 40 tooth for flat drags, there is plenty of power there for that. With my son on it It would pull the hill well with a 40 tooth probably. It won't pull me I don't think. Might have to give it a try and see. Most of the drags around these parts are on hills as you saw at 4sw's. Dumonts hill is rider friendly with hardly any whoops and the ones that are there are small. As for the other things those will all have to wait for awhile. Like after I win the lottery. LOL

Hey ive been gone for a while, I wouldnt of thought mario would go this late in the season, with the heat. How hot was it there? and was the sand good and smooth? If its not really to hot ill buy my 10 paddle tires and test them out sometime, let me know when your next trip is
