Default Ba150 no start

Hey guys I'm new to the forum so forgive me if this is a old topic. Had a baja 150 atv given to me cause it wasn't running. Cleaned the carb and put a battery in and got it running. Found a few parts missing such as the spring for the diaphragm in the carb and a broken ignition switch. Found a spring that was perfect and the thing ran great. I decided to cut the ignition switch out as it was broken and missing the key and replaced it with a
3 prong rocker switch from a parts store. Now the darn thing won't start. Cranks and I have power and lights but just won't kick over. Would that rocker switch have anything to do with it? In kinda lost and not looking to put too much money into this thing. Any advice would be great.

Maybe look at your old switch and take it apart to see how it operates. You most likely don't have it connected correctly or that new rocker you bought doesn't work the same way. Usually 3 prong rocker switches use the 3rd prong to power a built in light in the switch.
