07 king quad 700 or 08 grizzly 700?
hi ,new to site, moved to colorado 6 months ago, bought 13 honda trx500es about 4 months ago, thinking about changing rides, have a chance at two trades,07 king quad 700,2600 miles on it,seems to run good, its not a pretty atv, looks like it was kept outside most of its life, the other 1 is an 08 grizzly 700,it has 6600 miles on it,that seems like runs good also, and its a good looking atv, both bikes seem highly regarded from what i am reading about them but i have no experience with either 1,which bike would you go for and why?thanks in advance for any input

The foreman is probably worth a lot more than either of those 2 bikes. You'd be better off selling the foreman and then buying the atv you want. It would open your options up as well to other bikes, not just those willing to trade. Someone willing to trade a 700 for a 500 is most likely hiding something anyway.

i shoulda said 2013,the 700's are the bikes i have been wanting to step upto,i thought i would like the es but after riding it for a few months i'm not into it that much and i really dont feel comfortable letting other people ride it,some people arent very good at multi tasking lol,if i could buy new i would buy one of the two bikes mentioned, but thats not in the cards either unfortuantly

The King has better rear brakes, better gauge pod, better positioned handlebars, better suspension geometry, a smoother engine, taller gearing for better cruising mpg, and a third headlight. About the only thing I can think of that it gives up to the Grizz is rack size and capacity. Many things are equal on the two machines.
I'm a Yamaha fan and was going to get a Grizz to compliment my other Yamaha atv's, but after I rode one, I didn't want it anymore. I'd suggest you ride them both and see what you like.

I have a 2004 grizzly 660, it is a good reliable fourwheeler. my dad bought it four me in 2004 so im the only owner, never had any problems with it and it gets me where i need to go, has a lot of power in it. the only downsides to a grizzly i can think of is they are very heavy and as previously stated, the back brakes burn down fast.
me and one of my buddies went mudding this past weekend i on my 660 and him on a 700 and he bottomed out more than i did with my 660, could just be that they are heavier but both were stock. all in all grizzlys are good reliable fourwheelers that will last until you get tired of it

To answer your question though, I think anything in the 650lbs wet range is considered a lightweight in today's 4x4 world. I can certainly notice a weight difference between my Rincon and renegade.

i think i may keep my honda for a while unless a really sweet deal comes along, the more i ride it the more i gel with it,been doing more off camber and inclines with some different trails, there are so many around here that im hitting a different one every time i go riding and i never know what conditions or obstacles i will come across, when i moved here last summer i brought two motorcycles up here, between the cops and the deer,i sold both bikes and got atvs, dont miss the motor cycles and love the scenery off road
