Default Trx questions!!!

I am looking at getting a 05 honda trx450r but I was wondering what all the maintenance you have to do on them? I have a 400ex now and with it there is very little!

you have two separate oils you must change, engine and transmission. the valves should be checked more often and if need adjusting you need to remove the cam. definitely higher maintenance then a 400ex

ive seen some of your other posts (if that was you) and it seems like you're just looking for something different. if you got bored with the quad you have now then its only going to happen with the next one you get too. plus ask yourself why the guy with the 450r would want to "downgrade" to a 400ex.. I wouldn't doubt that something is wrong with his quad that he wont tell you. try to enjoy what you have

For wheels, how hard do you ride? Beadlocks if you are banging off trees and rocks all the time, or like to change your own tires. Otherwise just about any aluminum wheel that strikes your fancy. I prefer .190, and a reinforced lip. ITP balas with the reinforcing ring look good and last.
