my dad and i are going to get 2 ranchers. but im not sure how reliable the electric shift is. ive always liked to shift. so my question is should we get 2 rancher es's or 1 rancher 4x4 es and 1 rancher 4x4. also is there any aftermarcket floorboards that u can buy because if there it then we will probably get a 1 es and one regular one. any help would be awsome.

I had a Rancher FM and put the ES floorboards on it. It was easy cause the parts bolt right on.

I, personally don't like the electric shift..I like the old floor board shifters , and if I were you, I would get 1 of each, just in case you like one over the other..

If your unsure about it at all, get the shift model.

Myself if I was in the market I would shift without electric's.

RonP-Thanks for the floorboards tip! The same is probably true for the Recon. I am going to look into it. One of the biggest causes of ATV injuries is getting a foot under the bike (they don't make nerf bars for utilities).

the ES floor boards work for shifting because of the way that the floorboards are shaped. they have raiased foot pegs, therefor you can get your foot under the shifter.

DEFINETLY THE FOOT SHIFT. THE ES IS TOO MUCH ELECTRICAL CRAP TO TEAR UP AND YOU CAN NOT CATWALK THEM OR NOTHING. I GOT A FOREMAN ES AND WENT BACK AND TRADED IT IN FOR THE FOOT SHIFT THANKS
