Kawasaki Bayou KLF185A Transmission Operation
Hi,
I recently acquired a 1986 Kawasaki Bayou KLF185A.When I first got it I did not receive a owners manual nor any instructions on how to operate the transmission.I'm trying to figure out how to find first gear from neutral and how to go up from there. And I'm also looking for some pointers on how to engage the reverse.Any Help Would be Great.
Thanks

I believe the gear pattern on this one was a little different than most, It has been a long time since I have ridden mine, but I am pretty sure neutral was all the way up, and 1-2-3-4-5 down. For reverse (I'm guessing you have found the reverse lever just behind the pull starter?), go to neutral, press the reverse lever down, and pull the shifter up. Of course rocking always helps. Good luck
