Default 38mm carb on polaris

Hey, question. I want to put a bigger carb on my scrambler 400 and have bought a 38 mm mikuni flatslide. Is there anything I should watch for when putting it on and running it besides the jetting. I dont want to break my jug or engine case.

First off welcome to the forums.I ran the 38 TMX on my 400 before I decided to all out drag race.I never had a problem with mine.Kinda hard to get the boot over the carb flange, but it will go.I can go dig the carb out of the shop and find out what jetting I ran.I don't see any or have even heard of any breakage of the cylinder just from a carb install.I have a complete kit for the 400 from Hotseat with billet head and 38 TMX that I will let go for a small price.PM me and I'll let you know if you are interested.
