Default Purchasing first ATV. are these good choices?

Well I have wanted one for a while , just to have around the house for chores and the occasional trail ride and am wondering if these would be good choices , at good prices. I will be using it for hauling trailers, plowing snow, and just general use for the most part. I live right across from the trail so that will also be nice to get out and ride. I know this is a Polaris forum, so I'll just ask what are some good models and years to be looking at ( Polaris or other ) ? I have 3 picked so far , and was wondering how my choices were..

Any certain rigs, or years to stay away from? Any motors that are notoriously bad?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

I think all would be good picks. The most reliable is probably the 500, it's their "legendary" quad. I am not biased, as I do have an 04 700.
Good luck!

Thank you for the reply! Yea if I was going new or all out I would be a little more concerned about things. But this is just gonna be a fun toy to take down the trail once and a while, and for doing chores around the house, plowing etc. If I put on 500 miles a year , I would be shocked. But I do want reliable.

So that 500... I'm guessing that goes down as one of their best motors ever made? I do like that one a lot, but for about $1000 more I could have that 2013 550... So it does have me thinking. The 700 I'm up in the air about. I know even less about that one. Haha

Lots of choices out there and would Luke to have one of these in my garage by this weekend so I'm trying to soak up as much info as I can before the purchase!

If I owned one it would have to be a 500. Good track record during its long production run and almost bullet proof if you maintain it properly.Looks like it's in good shape.

Thanks, I'm gonna call about the 500 again and get a model # as I notice there was a huge recall for that year on the ecm.. The 550 seems like the best deal at this point. But I just want to explore all options.

Also going to call a few dealers around town to see if they still have some good deals on the 570..

Well it looks like I have 2 good options as far as a new 570 goes.

Dealer a) $6599 w/ 5 year warranty.

Dealer b) $5699 w/ standard warranty
- additional warranty ranges from 250-600, depending on term.

$5699 for a brand new 570, that's a great price. Dealers always tack on extra fees though such as tax, title and freight, still should be around $6500 out the door, maybe a little more if you opt for the max warranty.

I just bought a 2015 Sportsman 570 for $4,861 out the door. Check Abernathy's Cycle | Motorcycle and ATV Dealership | Polaris Slingshot Dealer | Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri Areas and make sure you get what you want for the price you want. It was worth the long drive for me.

The standard warranty up here for Polaris and Yamaha is 6 months. Many warranties run out while the ATV sits in the garage all winter long.

That would have to be the lowest price in the world for a new Sportsman 570. I know recently there have been commercials promoting a free 5 year warranty with the new Sportsman 570, did this also include that? Generally, the $5699 price he mentioned would be the best anyone could do and that's not the out the door price. The $4861 price would be about $1500 less than anywhere else I've seen. For comparison sake, that would be about the price of a 2wd Honda Rancher 420 out the door at most dealers. I had to look it up, I'm about 180 miles from Union City Tennessee myself. I might check them out if I ever decide to buy something new, I see they have new Yamahas and Hondas as well. Spending an extra $60-$70 for gas and a few hours of time would be worth saving that much money.
