Default new king quad tapping?

I just bought a new king quad 400 and it pecks little when u pull a hill. Just wondering if its normal for a new bike to be doing that? Has less than one hr on it.

I haven't heard anything like that from my new 750 but I've been too busy riding it like it's stolen so who knows if it's making any noises...

You got a 12 month warranty, right ? Ride it hard and if something falls out of it let Suzuki put it back on. Just my but your mileage may vary.

a friend told me it was normal that they would adjust the valves at first service

Yeah, they did adjust my valves at the 100 mile service. I never heard any noise before or after that service though. Just ride the hell out of it unless it starts making some terrible noises.

I also have a new 400. Engine is a tad noisy, but nothing I haven't heard on my other machines (ever rode a Polaris??).

I am taking mine out to ride later today, I'll try and listen for anything like what you describe.

Rode mine today for a couple hours. I hear the tapping you describe. Engine seems fine but I am still in the break in.

I do hear it and I've heard it on similar sized engines. I think you're fine. They should adjust your valves on the first service; other than that I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I really like the 400 so far!

Mine still did it after the first 100 mile service but I will say that I didn't really notice where the shop I took it to had even worked on it. SO I went ahead and rode it till the second service was due and took it to another shop this time and they definitely did the service as it should have been. Motor has never made that noise since and the throttle response and power is much better now. I know who to take all my atv's to now for sure.
