Tire advice
Picked up my new 2005 660 Griz a week ago and I'm having a blast getting used to it. Plan to add some wheels and different tires eventually. I see there are lots of options.
Can someone help me out with some tire basics info. I see alot of you Griz owners have switched to a 27" mudlight tire. What's the pros and cons of different tire size/tread type. 90% of my riding will be in rocky trails/dry dirt around the Phoenix, AZ area. What would be some good tires for this type of riding? Or are there some good universal tires that do well in dirt, mud, rocky areas, etc?
Thanks much. BC

sins your not going to be spending alot of time in the mud i would get the ITP Holeshot ATR tires, they give you a bigger foot print and more traction, the griz has always bin on the tipsy side,so adding theas tire will help out on the rocks and offcamber situations, mud lites are nice but unless your in mud or soft ground stuff you realy dont need such an agressive tire. if you can read the february dirt wheeles, they have a project brutforce and they put the Holeshot ATR's on it. read that it them tires will help the griz in the same way they halp the brute.
