Kodiak Ripped Front outer CV boot
I have a 05 Yamaha Kodiak that has a front outer cv boot that is ripped. My question is, since its just the outer that is ripped, do I have to remove the entire axle to replace the boot, or can I just take the outer axle out of the hub and replace it with the inner still attached to the diff?
Thanks guys.

Your going to have to pull it out of the spindle to get the new boot on it. Now that doesn't mean you HAVE to pull it all the way off the bike, but once you get the outter cv out of the spindle its just pulling on the axle and it pops right out of the front diff so it makes changing it and putting the new clips and all on WAY easier.
If your mech. inclined at all its an easy job. Hardest part is getting the nuts off of the tie rod ends... I use an impact so it doesn't spin and they pop right off.
Good luck.
