Nikola: They Aren’t Tesla But Close

The SxS concept has been put on pause.

Most everyone is familiar with the company Tesla (named for electrical mastermind Nikola Tesla) or its front-man Elon Musk, another modern brand using the other half of said mastermind’s name, Nikola, has been quietly making strides.

Off-roaders may be slightly familiar with the brand on account of the announcement of their NZT fully electric SxS touting specs like 775 ft lbs of torque, 590 horsepower, 150 mile range on a charge and a 0-60mph time of 4 seconds flat.

Additionally the company the working toward military supremacy as well by developing an armored SxS machine of similar performance but with emphasis on things like waterproofing, modular capabilities and concealed sound and heat signature called the Reckless.

After going fairly quiet for a bit, Nikola has announced that coming in September of 2020 will be their first all-electric/ hydrogen fuel cell 906 horsepower, 600 mile per charge range road-going pickup called Badger.

While final pricing hasn’t been discussed, Nikola is already taking pre-registrations for those parties interested in having one of the first on their block. Or maybe state.

We have obvious concerns that perhaps their sudden focus on the road market may be pulling their limited resources away from development of the potent NZT, there is also the possibility that success with the Badger could bring in a massive influx of working capital.
