The front sprocket and the rear are about the same to change, and yes you still will have to cut and shorten the chain even if you remove the front.
#42
The last front sprocket that I bought was 15.00 dollars and the rear sprocket was 45.00 dollars. You would only have to go 1 tooth bigger on the front to get the same effect as going 5 or 6 teeth smaller on the rear therefore you would not have to cut the chain at all...Plus you just saved 30.00 bucks

actually your wrong on the tooth conversion. Everyone ONE tooth on the front would be equivalent to THREE teeth in the rear, ask your local dealer he will tell you the same thing.

does anyone know the actuall chain size for a stock gy 200? and also, when i bought my gy, it didnt come with a manual(not like i need one any way), does any one know how to get one?
#45
DO not even try to get a manual...its a COMPLETE joke, everything is misspelled and wrong and its just ahuge mess, you can learn more from reading an issue of voque. As for the chain size its a 428.
do you need a sprocket? or a chain?
