Default Almost 2 year's with 3 Jetmoto's

A little more info....

The battery that came in the 125 is pretty much dead these days. The ones that came in the 150 and 200 are still working ok. By working ok i mean they will only hold a charge for a few days, so if they are jumped or bump started will maintain that charge for the weekend.

Coming up on 3 years with the 125,150 and 200. 250 has only bee in use for about 18 mos..

All of them are still running with the exception of the 150...Im trying to make a 180cc out of it with some of the many parts Ive tested for Jetmoto. As it is it has too much compression for the e start...Need to remove some more material from the head to get the compression down a little more. Stock motor was/is fine and might go back in if I cant get the 4mm oversize cylinder to work with the 3mm stroker crank...

As I get more free time Ill update everyone on the rest of the fleet and get a few pics posted also.

Took the 125 and 200 out this last weekend.. Neither machine had been run in about 7-8 mos...Drained the gas from the tanks and added fresh fuel...Both batteries were of course dead so both were jump started from a car battery..

200 fired right up and idled perfectly after about 5 sec's of choke use..After a 2 minute or so warm up it was running sweet..

125 was a little fussier and needed to be choked for about 4-5 minutes and even needed 1/2 choke for its first ride...After a 10 minute ride the choke was turned off and not needed for the next 3 days.

I had forgot how much fun the 200 is...Wheelies effortlessly compared to my 250...has less power for sure but is shorter, thinner and much lighter than the 250...

We went to my inlaws place and also got out the other 90cc mini utility quad and the 250 Hunter I got for my father in law. Should have got a pic of the 250....its fairly dirty and gets a bit of use on his 5 acres..I rode it a while and feel its the only full size quad Jetmoto makes (that I have ridden)..and its got lights on it that rival some cars..Very nice at night.

M.W.Q. - All really good information. Many of your experiences were what made me more comfortable with going with a Chinese quad (which I'll pick up later this week). It's nice to hear that decent life on one of these is possible in spite of all the negative stuff out there.

Is Jetmoto the manufacturer or are they just an importer of various quads? If your current quads are made by other manufacturers, do you know who the actual manufacturer of each one is?

Again, thanks for the info.

Steve

There is as lot of negative stuff out there on these machines for sure..and a lot of it is justified..I just try to show the other side of the machines. They are a good way for someone, (who isnt real serious)to get into the sport. How bad can that be? And so what if you learn a few wrenching skills along the way? I have compared the Chinese ATV boom, with the minibike boom of the 70's.. Lots of machines from all over the place...Some were great, some were good, some were ok and some were junk..I had 1 of the ok machines..2 hp, no suspension, rear brake....Wasnt the best machine but did teach me how to turn a wrench and was a lot of fun too...so much fun that I still ride 38 yrs later(got my first minibike at 11)

Jetmoto is like most from China...They have a bunch of parts assembled at a assy factory..Their current factory for the Minis, 125, 150, 200 and 250 is the Shenmao Appliance Co....there are a few pics of it on my pic page..

Your Welcome...

Did you get your quad yet?

I/we had two JC Penny's 2 1/2 HP Tecumseh mini bike when I was young, actually my parents bought them new at the same time and that was a fond memory that had great influence on my decision to buy four new Jetmotos. I figured my kids would remember them more then if we bought 2-4 misc used atv's.
