VBike or Jetmoto 250

Thanks for the great posts! I wish I could trade some of my good looks for some better typing skills lol. I have much to tell!!
VBike -1 Chungking -1
Spoke with Tim, with VBike, tonight and in 3 minutes we have the starter turning and all lights working!!! The problen was very simple I had plugged all the wires together by like color. Un beknownst to me one of the green wires needed to be plugged in to a black wire. When that was accomplished bingo! Everything started happening. I asked about the fan and Tim told me not to worry, the fan comes on with the Motor. With a few finishing touches , such as, changing out the fuse holder to one of the automotive types and double checking the all the assembly stuff it was the moment of truth! I removed the NKG spark Plug ( which showed a hint of carbon factory pre run??), squirted a little gas in the cylinder and fired it up! I ran right out of the box no adjustments. Now it took me 3 trys to member if I wanted it to run for longer than 3 seconds than I needed to turn the fuel on!! But it was that easy the beast lives!
First Impressions--- WOW!! its huge i wasnt after a large machine I'm only 5'7" But this one is has room for big folks. They do look MUCH better in person than they do on the screen, mine looks slightly different than the ones shown online. mine has a slight 2 tone color scheme blue and black, very nice, and the blue is darker than on the pictures. Im going to try to attach some pics when I'n done typing.
I got to ride if for 30min this evening before the rain came and I must say I'm still smiling. VERY smooth! Clutch has a solid good feeling action, engine does not vibrate at Higher REV's ( MY last dirt bike did really bad). The first start only required 1 min of choke and then off, idle may be a bit high but all in all great! reverse works Perfectly!!
I was really impressed with how cleanly it rolls across the garage, I mean The brakes are not hanging, the chain is just right. The only sound you hear when you roll it back and forth is the chain idler rolling against the chain. This may seam like a strange thing to report but this is my 5th Non-Japanese product and this is the first one I 've gotten this smooth this fast! I kinda go into these with the mindset that it will come to Me "pretty good" and with adjustments and at home refindments I will make them very good! Knock a few rough spots off. Well I must say this one does not appear to have many rough spot to deal with!
Someones going to have to help me figure out how to get pics posted...
One thing to be aware of, and I was pretty much aware of it before I bought it, the tires that comes on these bikes are for OFF ROAD! you surely do feel those agressive tires on the pavement. Not much of an issue for me as most of my riding will be trails and fields. But You may want to get less aggresive tread if you plan to dive on hard surfaces.
The fan works well enough. when running you can feel a fair breeze down there and its very quite.
2boystoys- when you get to the point of hooking up the lights call TIM. You will have no problems.

Glad to hear you got it figured out!
To add photos go to My Page up toward the top, then Edit then Add photos. I think you can add 12 or so. Can't remember but you may have to reduce them down to a smaller size before uploading. I think I went 640x480.

Hello, All this talk about V-Bike's got me going! I just joined the forum. I bought my 4VS 2 months ago. The extra electrical plugs are not used in this application, its a wire harness used on other bikes. I taped mine up. The grease fitting is actually an air vent. I added a vent tube to mine so it won't ingest water. No need to grease, they are 2RS bearings, which means rubber sealed on both sides. My bike did not come with a fan when I ordered it. I have one on order w/Tim. I intend to add a switch to mine and only use it on hot days. I have made some minor modifications that may be of interest.
1.) Rear reflector housing upgraded to machined aluminum
2.) Aluminum battery box spacers
3.) Grease fitting and bronze bushing added to foot break petal
4.) Machined aluminum bezel around gear position indicator
5.) Larger custom made preforated exhaust pipe heat shield
6.) Engine breather tube filter added
I will be posing pictures shortly (I need help with this).
I forgot to mention I named my bike "Jack Rabbit" (much quicker than I need).
Its great to meet others that share my passion!

What website are you guys finding the v-bikes at? I am looking at the Jetmoto 250 Hunter on Raceway. But I would also look and compare it with other quads. I am looking to buy this upcoming May (the AF is sending me overseas for a bit or else I would buy sooner) so I am watching prices and comparing specs.

Looking at the 250 Utilities they both look pretty nice and in some ways I really like the vbike but one thing I can see where to Jet is better is the Jet has Front Disc with Rear Drum and the V even though they say Rear Disc it's Drum all the way around! I think I like the plastic and the over all looks of the V better.
