He must wear the pants in the family Kman!
Ya Sawyer I had commented to Kman many post/treads ago about Jets rear shock mount compared to the v. The Vbike is better situated then the Hibirds which if they (Hibirds) ride like the other Chinese quad I rode with the same shock setup they ride like a Pogo stick!
Jet either needs to be a lot better built for the price which I don't think they are or lower to compete with Vbike. I wish I had heard of Vbike back when I was looking, not even sure they were out then if so no one was taking about them!

I just got done riding it out on my neighbors property for awhile. I am really impressed with the suspension, a little soft, but I adjusted the shocks with a spanner and took it back out for ahwile, ran it through my creek and up and down some 8-10 foot hills and ruts. Unlike the other offbrands I have been on, the front suspension actually works and the back stiffened up a bit, not squishy like a lot of them. It has no problem getting up the hills at all, first gear has plenty of torques and 2 -4 are spread pretty nicely. My neighbor was out with his TRX and could not believe how well it rode compared to his, he couldn't get over it. If it holds up over time, I don't see how you could go wrong with this bike. I will take some pictures in lighter conditions and post them to replace the other ones.
I got the other 3 quads first, because my wife dug her heels in early over the whole thing and now can't give in on her getting one or that would be like admitting defeat to me, so it will be a test of wills, but she will come around. I wish I wore the pants......I only wear the ones that carries the wallet.
One question, Tim told me 3 -3.25 quarts of oil. I put in a hair over two and am full on the window and full on the tip of the dipstick. I have run it for awhile and it isn't moving. KMan and Chungking - how much have you guys been putting in?

TwoBoysToys,Its been a few months since I changed the oil so I don't remember exactly how much I put in sorry. But it seems to me it wasn't much more if any over two quarts.
Sounds like it performed well for you thats great. It still amazes me after having mine for about four months what you get for the money.Of course I havn't been riding it much the last couple of months but its still a rare good bang for the buck.
I also like the fact so far from what I have read no running or carb issuses on them streight out of the box. That seems to be a major issue with chinese made bikes.
Thanks for sharing photos...
Buyingchina ,Nice pics I like the upgrades you done to your bike good job!!!I hope you don't mind if I follow suit and barrow a few of your ideas.
One thing I would suggest to all is to get a set of 3 inch wheele spacers for the rear to match the front. Its a is a quick and inexpensive mod. These are the ones I ave and they work perfect.I also put them on my wifes Roketa.

I see you have a couple 110 Kasuma's. I have a 110 quad for the kids, one of the earlier styles with shaft drive and stiff suspension. The front is not bad but the back is well....... useless for a kid. How is the suspension on the Kasuma's?
I was thinking of changing the spring/shock on the rear to one for a 70-100lb rider like our little baja 90 has. It actually has nice suspension for the kids. Its shock though is a bit different and wouldn't fit unless I changed the mount I think.

Sorry if I am butting in but that amount of oil is close to what I put in my Buick. The V4S 250 CC V-Bike takes 0.9 - L. 0.9 L equals 30.4 ounces (30 1/2) is close enough.
You can drain with the bottom plug 17mm socket torque to 17.6 ft. lbs. I prefer to drain from the side (lg chrome cover with hex). It takes a 24mm socket torque to 30 ft lbs. When draining from the side go slowly. Beneath the cover is a spring that holds the filter screen in place. This screen should cleaned with solvent or hot soapy water and dried before re-installing it. It goes rubber ring in first then the spring and cover. Hope this is helpful.

Sawyer,
I really like their Kazuma's all the way around. The suspension is good, not great. The back is fine, the front is a little stiff, but no real problems. The kids love them. They have about 12 hours on them since Xmas and I haven't had a problem with them. I would recommend them to anyone.

BuyingChina,
The bike looks nice, same color I got. I like the mods. I need to take some pictures in the light and not the dark garage. I am gonna put the spacers on the battery box soon, can't crank down on those screws without bending the box/tabs.
KMan,
The spacers were the next thing I was gonna ask you about. I definitely see the need for those coming. Thanks for the link. I also am going to invest in a better set of grips. I agree though, what a bang for the buck. It has exceeded my expectations so far. Thanks for turning me on to it.

OK so your saying the rear suspension has some 'give' to it. I checked and a replacement shock/spring for the rear of that quad is like $50. I'll have to check the specs. to see if it will fit my 110.
Our 110 is on its 3rd season now and is still running. I had alot of issues with things rattling off on it. INcluding the engine rattling out of the frame!!! I finally bolted a plate to the bottom of the engine, then welded it to the frame. Now it sits still!
My one boy likes it and prefers to drive it. Its just that it has Zero suspension on the back add the stiff rear tires it makes for a rough ride in the winter.

Vbike owners does the rear swing arm have bearings in it where it pivots with the frame or is there just steel bushings there?
I tried to see on the Jetmotos but it was hard to tell as there was some chrome caps on the ends.

For what its worth... The suspension on my daughters Eagle 100 was so stiff when we got it I knew some thing was wrong... I took some silicone spray and lubed the shock shafts , with some aggressive up and down shaking I was able to get the things to move pretty good. The rubber dust seals were dry and would not slide on the shafts with such small loads. Now I can at least see the wheels moving up and down as she goes ove bumps. Might want give it a try on the Kazumas.
I rode for about 2 hrs yesterday, mostly tight trails, and I was very pleased with the suspension on the Vbike!! A couple of times i hike some large roots and I expected it to yank the wheel and throw me but the tire just lifted right over it and we kept going. The machine tracks true no matter what he wheels are doing. I like that. I did lower my front shock attachments to the lower hole, this flattened out the front end and lowerit by about an inch. I'll attach a pic this evening.
I rechecked all my significant nut and bolts and all were tight, I did find a small screw and nut in my drive way, that looked familiar, after checking I determined it was the trottle limiting screw, good thing it was nothing important!
I notice yesterday that my machinr turns to the right much tighter than to the left. Is this normal?? I can "modify" the steering stop but thought I'd give a shout out before I start grinding metal.
I filled my oil from a gallon jug, I filled until the window was full and it was reading full on the dip stick. I would estimate about 1 qt. of oil. I'm changing the oil again after about 5 hours use. Thats about 3 more to go. I'll get some qt containers and take a carefull look at how much goes in.
My machine is running well, but how do you check the toe -in, I have eye-balled the front tires and they seem to be straight relative to each other, but my right tire mat be leaning inboard a small amout. Is there an alignment check I can do??
