Default Chinese 110 atv also with no spark

I also have an atv with no spark. I have replaced the cdi box, the spark plug, the coil, the safty switch, the battery and the regulator. When I don't have the 2 wires hooked up to the coil the wire off of the stator will make the test light blink. I have done the test that LynnEdwards posted earlier by unplugging the cdi box and taking readings. When I did the resistance tests there was no reading on any of them, with the ac voltage tests it was good. I did a resistance test on the kill switch and it did have some resistance so it is doing something. Any help would be awesome

I probably can't help you much at this point. I haven't done all the tests yet. I had already bypassed the rear kill switch but then if I unhooked the kill switch at the CDI, I could get the bike to start, so my assumption was a defective CDI but I haven't changed it out yet. I am currently taking a small engine repair course through correspondence so I'll let you know when I figure it out.

How did you bypass the rear kill switch? All that needs to be done to bypass is unplug it. Found that one out the hard way on mine.. If you jumpered it that may be your issue. Pulling the pin out of the cdi for kill switch does not necessarily mean the cdi is bad. Just means you now have a starting point of what to look for. Could just be a faulty kill switch. now is process of elimination

Default chinese quad

Derek,
I was having trouble with the rear switch not staying in so I simply cut off the switch and connected the two wires to complete the circuit, I found that if I disconnected the kill switch at the CDI it also removes the ability for the off/on switch on the handle bars to work so when I got it running, I couldn't shut it off so I couldn't do that.

i guess every kill switch is different. Some of them complete the circuit and some open the circuit to kill the engine. try them both ways i just assumed that open was they way they all were as both my imports i just unplugged the kill switch

Default Chinese Quad 4 Stroke 50cc Wont Start?

Hey guys i have a Chinese Quad 4 stroke 50cc. I just put a new batterie in and turned on the ignition switch (Key) and turned off the hand kill switch to the (On) position and it is completely dead. I have read some of the other posts and response to these, But for me I wont know if I have spark because I have no power to even get the motor to crank over! The fuse is fine so not sure what part is bad to replace. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I bought this quad used form someone today for my 4 year old son so I really would like to take the time and get this running for him! Thank you in advanced again!

Brake switch you must depress one or the other rear or front and make sure the kill switch is in the on position and the teather plug is inserted on the rear of the quad.

And I think this should just get issued to everyone

I figured it out guys thanks, The other people i bought it from didn't have the teather kill switch so i just unplugged it and then i found out that you have to pull the left break lever a little bit then hit the start button and it worked perfect. i reemed out the 2 jets cause they were clogged starts right up and runs perfect. Thanks guys!
