Ok, this one doesn't run either. I get the other bike running with new battery, carb, fuel filter....

So I picked this one up and am going to start taking it apart, cleaning it, greasing and oiling it, and then start to trouble shoot why it doesn't run. If the carb is dirty I won't bother cleaning it this time, I will just replace it.
What can anyone tell me about how to determine what size it is and how the shifter works?

That is a GY6 engine. It is not a 110cc engine.
Check out this link and download the Gy6 service manual.:

A few points:
Don't assume this link will be up forever. There used to be dozens of these manuals available on the internet. Now it is down to a few. Store it on your hard disk while you can.
Don't let the fact that it is for a scooter discourage you, The engines are identical.
If you're interested in a 110cc manual there is a routine maintanence manual at this link too. Download it and store it away.
Scooters don't have forward / reverse gearboxes. So any GY6 reverse gearbox will be an add on assembly that attches to the GY6 output shaft that normally would drive the scooter rear wheel. There are different versions of these gear boxes - don't expect this to be part of the GY6 scooter service manuals. But otherwise there is a wealth of info in the manuals,

I have no idea, but there are manuals out there..
I have never seen a Kazuma with the 150 engine either... most were 110-125cc's.

I found some GY6 manuals, some great upgrade kits that I already ordered, and I checked the serial number for the GY6 chart(check sticky thread) and it is definitely a 150cc.
I will make some videos of the mods for everyone! I am excited to wrench on this bike.
My boss gave them to me because they never ran right for his kids, but he did not try to make adjustments or have them upgraded. The more I tinker with the 90cc, the faster and stronger it gets from the way that I recieved it. Since I adjusted the clutches, changed the carb/intake, and got everything moving freely it has gotten strong enough to throw gravel when starting out.
I am going to keep playing with the 90cc and 150cc bikes to see what they can do.

There are all kinds of hop up mods for the GY6... a few years ago there were 2 guys with them in 2 seater off road buggies that posted here.. They did all kinds of exhaust, intake, cam, cdi, etc.. mods.
My Yamoto 150 has a aftermarket CDI.. raised the rev limit 1000 rpm.. good for about 5 mph on the top speed... stock both my Yamoto and Jetmoto 150 go 32 mph. I have the pieces to make a 3mm stroker / 4mm overbore GY6 engine... had to machine the cases to fit the stroker crank and have been removing material from the head. Trying to get a low enough compression so it would crank over and run. Just put the stock engine back in the quad and put the stroker engine on the shelf. Its gonna have to wait until i have some free time again.The Jetmoto 150 is by far the favorite of all my Chinese quads.(for family, friends, beginners, etc..).Even my 70 yr old mom has ridden it a couple times on the beach.

So far I keep hitting problems that equal mo-money! LOL
This bike was a wreck of neglect! I found that the gas tank was cracked. I ordered a tank today. I tried 3 different epoxies for repair-no good. I also had to completely go through the brakes.
I replaced the carb with the 30mm upgrade. That was a good thing.
But I am having trouble getting the right sized air cleaner.
I replaced the coil wire-the old one was cracked and arcing. I went with an upgraded cable/HEI coil.
I replaced the CDI(2-plug/5wire) with a CASOLI race CDI but it had no spark. Plugs matched perfectly. So I used the old one and it fired right up. Not sure why it did not have spark with new CDI?
After I got it running, I took it through the yard for the virgin test ride. 2 turns later popped the throttle and rolled it! Scraped up my leg, but I'm alright! I was surprised by the power of the 150! I am hoping a faster CDI will give it a little more pop. Otherwise the bike is strong and runs great!
I did all the usual cleaning, tightening of bolts, changing of oil and brake fluid, and will add the other new parts this week.(another CDI and fuel tank)
I got some pics of the Carb differences, will get them up soon.

Here is how to tell how your quad is set up:
Unplug the CDI and turn on the ignition. Measure the DC voltage on the AC power pin in the wiring harness to ground. If you measure 12 volts then your CDI is DC powered.
Leave the CDI unplugged. Switch your meter over to read AC volts on the 200 volt scale. Crank the starter while measuring the AC power pin in the wiring harness to ground. If you measure 40-80 volts AC while cranking then your CDI is AC powered.
