What are good mods for a 90cc redcat?
#1
I have already replaced the carb with a jetted carb and it runs good, but is a rough start cold. Takes some fiddling with when cold.
Would a CDI box help?
Is there any sprocket recommendations that would increase torque?
Is there a specific muffler and pipe to be used or do I just gut the existing pipe? (remove spark arrester)
Also, who sells Redcat 90cc body panels? I would like to change the color.
Thanks in advance.

OK, I took care of the muffler and pipe. The one that was on it had an offset baffle that was adjustable to make it flow straight through. That opened up the exhaust.
What I really want info on is sprockets and a race 4 pin CDI. All 4 pin CDI that I find are replacement CDIs, not performance ones for 4 pin.
Suggestions?

Most all of these come jetted lean stock to pass either the EPA or CARB tests...CARB tests require leaner settings than EPA..
Now that youve opened up the exhaust and I assume the air filter... Its even leaner...The hard start up and warm up is a sign of a lean pilot jet.. All of mine had a cough and die syndrome until warm stock.. All of mine now have larger jets in them..
