What should the compression be on this machine? very low power at start. Could it be the transmission?

low power? when starting machine? OR, after it's running, it has poor take off power under a load? is a kid riding it or an adult?

Approx 100 pounds compression.
It could be a problem in the clutchs. Better maintenence them.

It starts fine, However it feels like it is in a higher gear. When in Neutral it revs and sounds fine. When I put it in gear it hesitates like not enough power. If I push it to get it going in starts running fine. Could it be in the gears? I took off the clutch casing and it looks in working order. I also replaced the cylinder and piston. The compression reads 90 PSI, is this ok?

90 should be fine.
This machine should pull a adult w/no problems.
Clutchs: you remove the clutch cover, remove the nuts holding the clutchs. check the rollers for flat spots and replace. Check the bearings in the rear clutch.
Altho, is there exhaust comming out the pipe? The pipe (spark arrestor) can get plugged and act just like this. Pull the arrester out and clean the lil screens. Try running it w/o the arrestor to see how it goes.

The exhast is not servicable. It is a sealed unit. I will try the clutch's next.
