Muffler -rear tire interference
I have a 2007 Tao Tao 110cc utility that I am rebuilding and after centering the rear axle with the wheels attached I see that the muffler side rear wheel has (and will) hit the muffler when the suspension compresses.
It needs about 1/2 inch more space between the 2.
Its just typical Chinese lack of thought and I`m sure others have had the same problem.
Do I 1) modify the exhaust piping to get the muffler out of the way?
2) make rear axle wheel spacers to move out both the rear wheels?
any other ideas guys??

having aluminum spacers made for both sides.Dont have to mod the exhaust, get a tiny bit more rear stability and can always go back in the future.I changed the rear shock as the stock one was way,way to stiff. Now I have the right spring rate for the rider to take advantage of the entire travel of the swing arm. This is why I needed the clearance. With the stock rear spring being to stiff, the swing arm never moved much.
