Default Sunl 150cc bog w/ new carb.

Got my daughters ATV running Great! Now on to my son's. Took carb off and poured out a tablespoon of dried up fuel. Went to clean and broke off pilot jet in carb. Ordered new carb and replaced on machine. Machine ran good maybe a little rich as plug was black but dry. Accelerated good. Turned off machine and had fuel running out of vent so I bent floats to stop the excess fuel. Machine started but ran rough. Tried mixture screw plus/minus 3/4 turns without any improvment. Runs better with choke on. Will idle but dye with throttle. Need some help. Thanks

even on new carbs, whether gasoline or factory crap, solids made it to the jets, i'd recommend cleaning the carb/jets.......

I wonder if the fuel leak was due to crud in the needle seat valve, and now that you adjusted the floats to close fuel off at a lower fuel level the carburetor is now running too lean.

Also, since you've had the carburetor off there may be an air leak. Spray some carburetor cleaner around the idling engine intake manifold area. Any change in engine speed or sound indicates a leak.
