When was the last time the valves were adjusted? Hard (or no) starting when cold are the classic symptoms.

Shantyle919,

Lynn, resently helped me get one started that sounded similar to your issue and I really pulled my hair out, so I'm feeling like a bit of a pro now.

First things first.....for the sake of troubleshooting need to fully understand the situation:

First question, Did you just buy this ATV used and its never been running or was it running then suddenly stop?

Second question, can you get any life out of the motor? I understand that it's turning over but I'm looking for hints that its actually attempting the to start. For example any tailpipe pop or short attempt to start up?

Third question, are you getting fuel to the spark? Have you tried a couple of squirts of High-Performance starter fluid in the chamber?

We'll start here, and move forward after you answer these questions.

Default sunl 110cc not starting

I've been reading your post and you guys sound like you know what's going on with these things. So here it is, I bought a used sunl 110cc atv running. it needed a battery so in the meantime I had jumped it with a charger. That worked well until the last time it just kept turning over but not starting. I bought a new battery and found out I killed the started. replaced starter, still nothing. I also bought a new carb, coil cdi, resistor and spark plug. still no start. I checked for spark and got it, but I don't believe it's blue! I also removed the black and white wire at the cdi to unlock hook kill switches. do I need a stater?

Remove the footrest. Should be just a few bolts then that should give you room.
