Default Yamoto 70cc wiring diagram posted below

Recently there was this discussion on the wiring of a Yamoto 70cc quad:

Funnyfarm was kind enough to send me both his hand traced wiring diagram of his quad, and later another diagram he got from a Yamoto 70cc manual. Here are both courtesy of Funnyfarm:

The hand drawn one has wiring for a remote control module, which the factory one does not. I see some discrepancies between the two, but like all wiring diagrams (factory or hand drawn) some errors are pretty much the rule. There is a lot of info present in the two drawings in any case...

Default Missing component ?

Hey hey hey
I'm trying to get my yamoto to spark or something and while checking wires I found a sensor I think that is located on the engine between the gear box and motor .

My wires are almost cut at the base of this sensor and I'm gonna try to repair it . Would this sensor prevent my coil getting spark ?
Is it a neutral start safety switch and why doesn't it show up on any diagrams
