SUNL 150cc questions
New here and have some questions regarding sons Sunl 150cc quad. It has the gy 6 motor with auto transmission with gear shift on the right side for F N R. Engagment is slow mostly for forward, it doesn't go in then you can hear the gears engage. Any adjustment possible? Once in gear it is fine. Worried the kids will snap the gears off when they are in a hurry to shift. Headlights have one dim light maybe a ground? how do I check this? Cleaned the carb and put a fuel filter on it what a great little machine. Need a new footwell body part any suggestions? Thanks for any help!

I have a 150cc Hensim GY6 engine quad. It has a different Forward/Neutral/Reverse gear box than yours, though the principle of operation is the same.
I too have the problem of getting the gears to mesh. If the gear teeth don't line up they won't mesh. At idle the gears aren't spinning because the auto clutch has disconnected the engine and output shaft, so if they don't mesh I give it a little gas while pushing the transmission lever. Once the auto clutch starts to engage the gears mesh with a clunk. That's just the way it is .
