Kazuma Redcat 110 trans issues
Heya. I picked up a Kazuma Redcat 110 for little or nothing, and surprisingly, it runs smooth as silk. However, it doesn't *pull* so well. First gear is fine all the way thru the powerband, and so is third. But Second gear, under acceleration, "jerks" or "jolts" intermittently, almost as if the chain was jumping a tooth or two. The chain is tight and well-lubed, the sprockets look ok, and I adjusted the clutch as far as I could. (Loosened the jam nut, turned in the slot bolt clockwise as far as it would go, then backed off 1/2 round and locked it down)
Any ideas where I should go from there? I'm not afraid to tear into it if needed, just don't know where I should look first.
Thanks!

Sorry it took so long to respond, with my work schedule I had to find daylight to change the oil & check it . The oil was due, thinned out, but no gas smell and no burned odor. The drain plug was magnetic, but was clean, no shavings, just a really light fuzz of sludge-like material, just barely coating it. I haven't test-ridden since the oil change, but is it possible the oil being so thin might cause it? I know I'm grasping at straws. It's not as much an issue as it was, a coworker is swapping me a 350 Big Bear that needs rings for it. Still, tho, I'd like to be able to tell him what might need to be done.
Thanks again!
