Default Baja 150

I recently bought a Baja 150 for cheap. It started up but when i gave it lots of gas it bogged down. It didn;t shut off, just didnt go anywhere. I assume it's a carb promlem. Now it just won;t start at all. I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to take the carb off to clean it, ubt can't figure it out. Or maybe it's something else? I don't know, thanks.

your are correct. the carb/jets are plugged and you need to clean them. there should be 2 bolts holding the flanged end to the intake of the jug/cylinder. there should be, depending upon configuration, a hose clamp of some sort on the air filter/breather side. simply loosen both ends off, remove hoses, remove choke cable, and turn the throttle slide CCW. please remember all positions of hoses and cables. if your intake is equipped with a plastic spacer that has an O-ring in it, pay particular attention to the orientation of the plastic flange spacer. take a cell phone pic if needed. clean the jets thoroughly. your jets may look similiar to this one. clean all orifices and down the throat. you should see daylight through them. use carb cleaner. clean the float area, make sure the float needle is not stuck. clean all tarnish looking material away from all parts of carb internals. reinstall and fire that puppy up. let us know. By the way, there are plenty of videos on youtube that'll break the carb cleaning steps down one by one. YouTube - ‪how to clean a carb on a ATV‬‏

I cleaned the carb, even got a carb cleaning kit did everything to the T. It started, but did the same thing, just bogged out and wouldn't go anywhere. I'm puzzled? Maybe an intake issue? I have no idea.

so in neutral, it won't rev up? hmmm.. if in gear and won't rev up, could be a transmission/clutch/brake problem locking it down.

it's an automatic. It will idle. Then I'll give it gas and it will just bog down. It won't shut off, just bog and not go anywhere.

have you lifted the rear axle off of the ground via jacks, cinder blocks, or something overhead? then try revving it up and seeing what happens?. i figured a 150cc machine would have reverse, neutral, and forward, not full time automatic like a 50/90cc........

Yeah it's just an auto 150cc, no nuetral, reverse or anything like that. I put it on a jack, revved it, nothing, bogged out. So I took the carb out again, cleaned it real good again, put it back in, and left the air filter off of it. It ran like a champ for about 2 minutes, I took it up and down my street, then it bogged out again. Maybe something is wrong with the carn?

nickd2, are you taking the carb completely apart for the cleaning? removing all the jets, main jet holder, and the fuel screw? If you did.... Could you see light thru the pilot jet, main jet and the holes in the side of the main jet holder?
