The GY6 engines are about as reliable as a rock.. or maybe a anvil..

Try doing a search for maintenance items on youtube.. fascinating how many people have taken the time to video themselves..

Sorry my sarcasm gets lost in print...The GY6 engine (Chinese copies included) are very reliable.. Ive got 2 of them and both run well.. not a fast engine but lots of torque for its size..

Any time you make a engine develop more power than it did stock.. It gets less reliable as it makes more...

What are you planing on adding?

9 gram slider weights, prob rejet if someone can tell me the correct and best size, maybe a cheap exhaust, air filter.

None of that should affect reliability.. Id start by going up 2 sizes on the main and pilot jet.. pretty sure thats what I did to both my 150's.. I can check the numbers and get back to you..

Give me a few days to either find my numbers(posted some where here) or take the carb off and look...

Ive re-jetted all my Chinese quads (and all my Honda 4 strokes).. up 2 -3 sizes.. bigger pilot jet gets rid of the cough and die syndrome during warm up, starts easier and speeds warm up.... a bigger main jet gives a stronger pull in the mid and top end power.

Since Im going to be taking the carb apart to clean should I just replace the two jets once I kno which ones are the best. And also how hard is it to install different pulley sliders and clutch springs without having an impact wrench. I want to change the 3clutch springs to 2000 rpm ones which are alot tighter.
