Default Carb Float Adjustment

I have been searching the forum for how to do this on my Hanma 110 and find a lot of info. What I am missing is:
The float has two tabs on it. One is a stop tab (on the back side) and one is the actuator for the needle valve.

Mine sits level at 11.6 mm, not the 18.5 I found in the forum.

Since the carb is mounted on a 45 deg angle, is there anything special I need to do to compensate or is that already factored into the height adjustment?

When I opened it up, the needle valve was not opening. But the difference in measurements has me swinging. 7mm is probably a little too much to adjust!!!

Which direction is it mounted at a 45 degree? front to back? or side to side?

Can you take a pic of the carb mounted?

Default Thanks for the speedy reply

MyWifesQuad,

The carb is mounted with the base forward and the top rearward. I'll post pics as soon as I figure out how.

Instead of "Post Quick Reply"... click "Go Advanced" then scroll down and add pics with "Manage Attatchments"

Is it possible that I am not allowed to post pics yet? I do not have a "Manage Attachments" button after I hit "Go Advanced"

Cool.. Ive got a very similar carb.. checked its float level.. its within about .010 of the measurement you gave.. So Id say your good..

Does the needle move in and out of the seat when you move the float? Have you taken the carb completely apart and cleaned it?

I did not take it apart all the way. But I did use air to clean it out. The needle does not move when the float is moved all the way up. Only the little spring loaded pop up moves.

Thats how I got started looking for actual numbers to set it by. I may have screwed it up even worse. than it was.

It was running fine when we got it back from a friend that got it running. Then the weather went cold and it would not start. I've seen the thread about adjusting for cold weather but that was after I had messed with the adjustment.
