I sold mine a couple months back, but know who has it and it's still running strong after the CDI from the Honda CMX250 was installed. I do believe there were early 90's model bikes, so yeah, fidn you one of those and your problem may be resolved. Like I said, good old eBay worked for me once I knew what to search for "CMX 125" or "CMX 250"

Good Luck

Default Lifan 250cc Dinosaur

Hello friends, ATV drivers,
I have, I bought, the same quad as you ,01ssreda4, and more.
That is my name but Kinquad 250, the Honda engine is a copy of the CBT250 (Rebel) and manufacturer Loncin. The year is the 2006th
And I have exactly the same problem, not my left cylinder, sometimes fire, and it only goes from unburned fuel
Coils and candles, I changed all (other), but the problem stayed.
Now I am looking for CDI and dismantled in the debates ...
Here with you I found the same defect in the same optically ATV.
Please advice - has anyone solved?

Thank you very much,
Libor - Czech Republic

... I try to send photos of my ATV
... these are the names of these clones with a twin engine CBT250 to which I came,
after 4 nights on google:
... Loncin, Kinroad, Kinlon,
Shineray, Kaishan
and new today moto Yuki 250 CSR
you still Lifan, Yamoto and Protrax
and types of engine are: AN250, TT ATV250, XT250, JL250A.
So it will not move forward
Color My ATV is a dark Camo green+brown and wheels of the car .

I never figured it out. Never traced the wires.

Default very similar quad

The Chinese quad that I just aquired looks pretty much identical to those on this thread. It is registered as a 2006 Zei with a 250 vertical twin Lifan engine. The body plastic is blue. I spent all day today tracing wires to diagnose its no spark problem. The man that I bought it from took the stator and trigger coil out to inspect, but after taking ohmeter readings of 171 and 52 ohms: I don't think they are the problem. I put things back together and the stator puts out 47V during cranking and the trigger 0.2V which I think are in the ballpark for these. Mine has the six pin CDI and is marked CM250. It also has the nine pin and 8 wire mystery box beside the CDI and it is marked JH Electric 60202. Some of the wiring for the ignition is still disconnected as there are three sets of two wire connectors close together and I am not yet sure which male belongs to which female. Also there is a switch that closes when the clutch lever is pulled, but it is also disconnected. By the time I'm done with this puzzle, I will probibly have a schematic to share. For sure I'm going to take out the old battery and check every single connector pin and ground and change to NGK plugs. I will be happy to share anything I find out about this machine.

As an FYI, I have my front fenders currently off (diagnosing a spark issue as well) if I can help, let me know. Don't have time to fool with it now. Its a strong running engine though.
The Chinese quad that I just aquired looks pretty much identical to those on this thread. It is registered as a 2006 Zei with a 250 vertical twin Lifan engine.

My research on the net yeilded the following:
The engine that I have is a Lifan 253FMM.
The 8 pin mystery box works in conjunction with the CDI and is wired to the gear indicator circuit. (I still don't know what it's function is) Apparently this CDI is unique to this type of setup.
I discovered a source for Chinese parts not too far away from me in Vernon BC. They are called China Parts Depot.

After all the connection checking and wire tracing and not knowing if my test results are within spec. , I guess all I can do is start replacing the ignition parts one at a time untill I get some spark.
