Default FSN 110 crazy electrical problem

Im new to this forum so if this stuff is somewhere else im sorry i couldnt find it. Alright i am working on this bike for a friend of mine, the bike was running fine then just shut off and wouldn't start. I go get the bike bring it home and start to check some things, took off the carb. and cleaned it. Im pretty sure the pilot jet was plugged not to sure cuz it still didnt start after i put everything back on. Changed the spark plug with a new one. The one that was in it was some kind of S X brand, replaced with a NGK. SO after lots of tinkering i still cant get the thing to start, it has compression, spark, and its getting fuel. Every once in a while it will fire about 4 or 5 times then quit. Now for the crazy part, I had been cranking this thing a good bit so i figured i would give it a break to let the starter to cool and keep from killing the battery. I go outside and all of a sudden the bike starts cranking over!! Key is off and the push button isnt stuck in, had to unhook the battery to get it to stop turning over. Im about at my whits end with this bike, Im not sure of the year or anything else. It does have a box of somesort mounted on the front of the frame that i have no idea what it is, maybe a remote start?? Has anyone else had a problem like this please send me in the right direction. Thanks in advance Tim

Did some more looking around. I think that the box is for a remote starter. I am looking at removing it, but im not sure if i can do this. All the wires are spliced with others in the main harness except one. its blue with a red stripe that goes to the ignition switch.I have look at wiring schematics on here but cant find one with the remote start. The box was zipped tied and taped up to the frame. It has some stuff loose inside of it i can hear moving around so i think this migh fix my problem if i can get it removed from the main harness. Any ideas?????

How many wires go to this mystery box?

What are the colors of the wires connecting to this box?

Are the colors of the wires in the main harness where they connect to this mystery box the same? If not what mystery box wire color connects to what main harness color?

Is this mystery box unpluggable? Can you just disconnect it without cutting wires?

Does this box look like it was added in as an aftermarket device, or does it look like it came from the factory this way?

Do you have any pictures of this box?

Well i Got it runing. It was the box, it has 11 wires plus a another one that seems to be a antenna. Ill post a pic of it, The only problem i have now is the bike wont shut off with the key, It will stop withthe kill switch on the handle bar. It looked like this box was piggy backed on to the main harness at the factory, all the wire were soldered together except the on that was ran into the ign switch. Im not to worried about it not turning off with the key thats gonna be an easy fix.(I HOPE LOL). I took the box apart and it was burnt up, you could smell it. I think before i took it off i was getting such a weak spark it wouldnt ignite the fuel, The bike has an awesome spark now. Thanks Lynn for the reply. If their is anything else you would like to kmow about this box just aks me. Well i might need some help posting a couple of pics for you. not sure how to insert a pic.

The dangling antenna wire, plus the inability to turn off the motor with the ignition key when unplugged definitely means this is a remote module. There is nothing wrong with just leaving it unplugged as long as you can live with ignition switch not being able to shut down the engine.

If you want to restore the ability to turn it off with with the ignition switch we only need to add a jumper wire between two pins on the remote. We'll need to do some measuring with a meter to find those two wires. Or just run a new wire tee'ing into the wire at the kill switch pin of the CDI and tee'ing the other end into the kill wire at the ignition switch.

Took the bike back. They were more than happy that it was running and didn't care much that thhey had to kill the engine with the handle bar switch. Thanks again lynn for your input on my issue.

You're welcome for the help.

Yes, most people opt for just killing the engine with the handlebar kill switch.
