battery not charging on lonchin 110cc
#1
as maybe few of you know, I have been reviring my quad, and it now runs like it was new
the only issue now its that the battery is not charging.
when it idles, I just get 12.6v and when i rev it up I got 12.8. the strange ting is when i revving sometimes it drops to 8-9v for a half a second, and then up to 12.8 again.
I wonder if there are any way to messure the pins on the regulator\rectifier to determine wich wire goes to witch pin. it is a 4 pin regulator with colour red, green yellow, yellow. my first thought is that I have not wired it correctly. cause i`ve tried 2 regulators with exact the same reading. I`m going to meassure the volt from the stator tomorrow

It is interesting that you have two yellow wires to the voltage regulator and not a yellow and white wire...
When you measure your stator voltages be sure to measure the following voltages as follows:
1) Unplug the regulator. Start up the quad.
2) Measure the AC voltage between the two yellow wires. What do you measure?
3) Measure the voltage from each of the two yellow wires to engine ground. What do you measure?
4) Turn the engine off. Switch to measuring resistance on a low scale such as 20 ohms. Measure the resistance between the two yellow wires. What do you measure?
5) Measure the resistance of each yellow wire to ground. What do you measure for each wire?
