Hi guys someone told me to ajust my needle on my carb to solve a red pipe on my 2005 wilderness trail 250 baja and i went to do it today and it don;t have a needle going down throught the top the throttle is on the side. The pump is on the top and the bowl is on the bottom of carb so any ideas what to do on carb to get the red pipe problem gone anyone thank you .

it is running lean, you need to richen up the fuel mixture. find the rich/lean mixture screw for your carb. that'll fix it. send pics of your carb to help out. but someone else may have the same quad and can help you identify where it's located. BUT it is running lean.

I needle was under the pump on top of carb the little clip was two away from bottom slots i put it too the last clip which would raise the needle up i think thats what would give it more fuel or richer am i right.to do that thank you

Depending on how hard you ride you may never get rid of the red pipe.. most are very thin tubing and they get hot.. hot enough to light a cigarette.

4 strokes use CV (constant velocity) carbs Constant Velocity carburetor
Here is a tunning guide for them. Basic CV Carburetor Tuning Guide
I only know two people with the Chinese ATVs and both were offered the choice of buying a optional Mikuni carb for a extra $50.
They say its worth it. There ATVs were called Gio.
