float stuck.........?

 

brand new carb.... started it today very high with idle screw out 2.5... had to back it even more almost all the way to get teh idle right , then died and could get it going again... air fuel mix adjustment? what should that be set at?

 

Well no one told me you need to add gas!... I cant beleive that wasnt teh first thing i would have checked... Fires right up and idles great.... Please call me a dumb A$$.... DOes anyone know how to put this is Reverse? Shifts rather had too.

 

mywifesquad would have the answers to your reverse questions. i have never had any dealings with a yamati quad. sorry. as far as gas goes, well, live and learn my friend, live and learn. hope you're smiling. glad it's running though! have fun.

 

I am smiling ! All i need is to know how to put this in reverse. A stick on the tank say to pull the reverse cable.. i cant find any cable. lol

 

can you post a couple of pics of the quad? picture of one side and the other? i presume you meant sticker not stick, right? hmmm...., i wonder if it is a reverse switch like a honda trx250ex. below the handlebars on the right side of quad near RF fender. if you could post pics of the quad, both sides, that'll help me, even though someone else may have the answers.

The botton on the rf fender is the starter... but there is one on the handle bar controlls too.... just doesnt work....

i'm at a loss about your reverse situation, but you've done a good job with "decorating" the quad. it looks good!

 

Thx my son loves it. cant tell you how many times we had to start it... he is just learning a manual clutch... anyone out there know how to put this in reverse?

As for the reverse I got no clue.. All of mine have reverse at the bottom of the shift pattern.. down for reverse and up for 1st thru 4th..

I may have pics of the Jetmoto 150.. it (if I remember right ) looks very similar to what you have..
