i checked everywhere for a **** lever or where one would go and i cant find anything the guy i got it from says its automatic w reverse but i cant figure this out my chain was supposed to be here friday but it didnt show up so tomorrow im gonna raise some hell

btw when its running and i give it gas the front sprocket turns but it still should have a gear shift right?

Ive never seen a foot shift lever on a GY6 style engine.. If it has reverse its usually either on the rear end or the output side of the engine.. I didnt see on there and cant see the rear end in the pics.. the reverse is usually operated by a hand operated lever.. some use a cable and some use linkages..

Is the sprocket turning forward?

Default more issues?

ok my chain came in i put it on ive never driven this thing before today so it was weird i dont hear the transmission changing gears the gold lever is reverse still some little things to work out like after i drove it i brought it into the backyard and now it wont stay running if i give it some gas it revs up but not much if i feed it too much gas itll sound like its drowning out thanks to everyone that helped me this is the day ive been waiting for

Its a CVT (belt drive transmission).. sort of like a snowmobile has..no gears to hear.

For the running problem..find the fuel screw on the carb (on the bottom usually) and turn it out 1 turn.. see if it runs better..

so i was looking at you tube and seen this guy changing a spring that was inside of his clutch to get more rpms out of his atv i think it was a 1500 rpm spring yellow i believe so i believe i can do the same thing right i havent had a chance ti fool with the screw on the carb ill probably do it tomorrow

Default carb issues

does anyone know how the screws on the carb shoul be set i turned it one full turn out and i think i turned the wrong one or something cause its hard for it to start now
