Quad wont start now!!!

I notice you said you ordered a relay this isn't your issue if you have flow through it when jumping it... you mentioned the carb was cleaned when you got it , then you ran it turned it off and then it would run again... sounds like you might have had some dirty gas and like boost says carb is plugged..

Yes i ordered a relay a new performance cdi and a new ngk iridium spark plug. There was originally very little gas when it was running so later on that night i filled it with super and it never turned on again. Could I have put to much gas? Also could it possibly be a bad cdi?

The reason I thought it might be the relay is because i can only get it to crank by jumping it the when I use the electric start nothing happens...no lights..no cranking just seems like there is no power coming off the electric start button.

Sorry I know it has been awhile but unfortunately its been sitting in my mechanics garage for about 2 weeks now. He has been very busy but said he is going to try his hardest to get to it this weekend. Once I get more info I will definitely keep you guys posted.

Sometimes it is really easy to "over think" these things.
It might be time to stop take a deep breath and start over with what you know now.
I am talking basics. .. it seems most , remember I said MOST, problems with these are CDIs, and fuel, and those are simple problems that can be over thought.
There is NO magic in these things and they have to conform to basic internal combustion engine remedies..
More than not, the words used to describe the problems are more of a problem than the fault itself.
In those old air force films they used that " fuel? check.. Ignition? check".. kind of thing. It sounded cool back then but it then again if it didn't check out there was a problem.
I hope you can understand what I am saying... and/or how it applies with your problem.

No I definitely understand what you mean. I have ordered some parts while it has been at my mechanics such as a performance cdi, new starter solenoid, performance fuel filter, performance air filter, new ignition (with key), already has a new battery, new coil which connects by the spark plug and a new performance Iridium spark plug. The only piece I have changed was the cdi which was when I was there to drop off my car for him to work on. I still believe it has something to do with an electrical problem or safety switch because when i turn the key on the ignition there is no power to any of the lights and no cranking. The only way to get it to crank is to jump the solenoid with a screwdriver. Also when it does crank it does not stay on unless I hold the throttle down. Once I let go it dies. So I believe it is an electrical problem since it wont start from the red starter switch and possible maybe the carburetor may be clogged since it doesn't stay on. So its probably a total of 2 things wrong.

This is what I am saying, you have ignition.. but you don't have start... but jumped out the solenoid works.. so maybe the switch?.. it will run but only at a high speed.. maybe gummed carburetor?.. because it starts at a low rpm, then goes up to a high rpm.. so the ignition shouldn't be considered the culprit... The lights?? have you checked the bulbs?? so maybe the switch??
get it to sit and idle first and then do the starter , and then do the lights...
You say it starts when you jump the solenoid and runs at a high speed only so fuel flow seems to be an issue, is the choke on when this happens?
YES, a lot of questions.. but questions, when answered, that can funnel down to the real problem.

Yea the lights definitely work because once jump the solenoid and start it up the lights come on. But yes I have a feeling it could be the starter switch plus a gummed up carb. I will keep you guys posted after this weekend if my mechanic still doesnt have a chance to work on it im just going to bring it back to my house and start working on it with the pieces I have.
