Hi everyone I am considering buying a Kazuma cougar 250cc off my neighbour but would just like to hear your input on weather it is worth buying and how much to offer, the bike has 260miles on the clock and has had no mayor problems yet but I know nothing about the durability of this bike, I am not shure what year it is but it has a rear disc brake so maybe 2006/2007? I live in New Zealand would the parts be easy and cheap to get? Would anybody now approx how much a complete motor and gearbox would cost?
I know these questions are a bit far fetched but any advice is much appretiated.

it will not take the abuse of jumping or anything like a suzuki, yamaha, polaris, kawasaki, the other major brand names. but it can be used just to cruise around on and not get too wild. motors are ~$1,000 USD and gearboxes can be about $500 USD unless you find a website that'll sell'em together and get a you a lower deal. if you ain't got a dealer in your country, then shipping will have to be free or you'll pay more. BUT, if you got a yamaha/suzuki or name brand dealer there, you'd be better off with one of those like a grizzly or ozark or eiger. take care and have a good'en.
