Default 110cc TaoTao quads

I bought 2 new TaoTao 110cc quads for my kids for Christmas this year. I have been starting the and letting both run for about 10 minutes a day so the battery wont die on me. I was moving them yesterday to my barn so the kids wouldn't see them, one moved fine was using the throttle to move it right along, no porblems. The second one was going fine (moving the same way) and then just shut off. There was no sputtering or anything just stopped. I attempted to start back with no avail. I began to smell gas, so I thought I had flooed the carb and I would let it sit and try it again after I got home from work. But it still doesnt start. It's turning over but just not catching, does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to get this up and going? I getting pretty desperate

check for spark while cranking. double check the kill switch and its wiring on the left handlebar. i have seen that even a fairly new spark plug can quit under pressure, so try a new one. check your memory, was the quad going straight when it died or were you turning the handlebars(faulty/pinched wiring test)? anything you can explicitly remember will help us narrow this down faster and help you out before the big day!

Thank You Ron! It was the kill switch under the seat, it seems to have worked its way loose. After reading your post I checked it and after toying with it for a minute, it fired right up!

Thank you guys for the replies!

Well they say even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. Sometimes I get one right. Congrats. hope the kids love their presents.

just don't powerwash the quads. only rinse them off. the high pressure water can make it into the quick connects and wreak havoc on the electrical system. glad you got it fixed.

What brand quad? What is the engine size? How many pins on your CDI? Four, five, or six?

Have you checked for spark? Remove the spark plug, hook it back up and hold the threads of the plug up against the engine block while cranking the starter motor (be sure to have all kill switches in the "run" position). Do you see a steady sparks jumping across the plug gap at about ten times per second?
