i presume it's an automatic? did you check the linkage to see if it is in a bind? does it seem internal? if so, it may be the shifting cluster/drum just stuck. can you rock it back/forth and try it?

I am new to the forum. I am having similar problems. While my ATV is on the gears are locked, I have to turn off the ATV to change from reverse to low or high. Once i do this i am ready to go. It is a pain to have to turn off and on every time. Thoughts?
