Default LINHAI 300 Rustler 4x2

Hi. I am new to forum. I own a 300 Rustler Linhai. 720 miles in clock. It s a 2007 model, i do not ride it a lot. 1)It does nt want to idle, I used carb cleaner, and also took of carb and clean it. But still will not idle? 2) The weekend I pressure cleaned it and now when switch to reverse it jerks and stalls (sounds like back fire)

What can be the problem

Sounds like when you pressure washed it you got water in the carb and the cylinder. Try taking your carb off, take it apart and clean it real good making sure that all the jets are free of any obstruction. Dry it off real good and spray a little bit of carb cleaner directly into the motor with the carb off. Then put the carb back together and put it on and try tuning it. Also, you may need to take your spark plug(s) out and clean them as well.

Hello. Sorry but you understand me wrong. The idle problem is a long time now. Do nt ride the bike a lot.

Then when I washed it suddenly the bike do nt want to reverse properly. Stalls and sound like back firing. But forward all is 100%.
Do any body know how the reverse function work?

does it have a reverse override switch? When you push the switch it will let you give reverse full throttle instead of kicking in the rev limiter. If it has this feature i wonder if you got some water in the electronics messing it up kicking in the rev limiter to soon while on idle and stalling it.

Have you adjusted teh air/idle screw at all since new? that may have been the only issue with it. Set to low from new

if it had a reverse over ride it would just be a little push button on the handle bar probably the opposite side of your throttle lever. Its usually a stand alone button

agree- look for the switch. my linhai does the same thing when I forget to push in the button. I guess this is a safety feature but very annoying.
